Located in downtown Greensboro, the Weir-Jordan House is a public venue for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, seminars, parties, professional groups, reunions and other special events. Our central location in Greensboro is within walking distance of national and boutique hotels, the Grasshoppers Baseball Stadium, parking garages, and all the exciting nightlife that downtown Greensboro has to offer.
We are convenient to major interstates as well.
The Weir-Jordan House provides a neutral backdrop and unique historic charm which will compliment any event. Our floor plan will allow flexibility for separate bar area or breakout rooms as needed. Our staff ensures your event will be special and personalized to your wishes, whether it’s a small corporate gathering with a simple menu to a large wedding with a plated dinner reception. And if you need extra help from a professional in planning your event, we can add that to any package we create.
The Weir-Jordan House can host a small number for a corporate board meeting or up to 75 people for a seated indoor event. For a standing indoor event, approximately 100 guests can be accommodated (with a limited seating arrangement). Additional seating can also be arranged on the front lawn (a tent is recommended) and along with indoors, accommodate larger parties up to 130 guests. The venue can seamlessly transition to accommodate both a wedding and reception for your special day!
We have multiple rooms on two floors which can be utilized as needed, whether your group needs break-out rooms for committees or changing rooms for bridal parties. These are all included in your rental cost. Floorplans below show you how versatile the Weir-Jordan House can be.

FACILITY RATES & CATERING
The Weir-Jordan House is available to rent for both daytime and evening events. Please note that rentals are booked on a first-come basis. Our Venue Manager will create a custom package to suit your needs and budget.
For food service, we have two options. If you would enjoy the ease of a catered event, we have created a list of approved caterers. They are allowed to work at the Weir-Jordan House because they do a phenomenal job, know our venue, and the quality of their food and staff will provide you with the best guest experience possible. However, we realize that not every event has a catering budget, especially smaller and more intimate gatherings. Catering will be professionally done by approved caterers at additional cost. They have a variety of menu options and will take joy in helping you choose what fits your event and budget.
Specific and/or specialty serving ware, additional chairs, chair covers, tents, dance floor, etc. may be rented or brought.

PHOTO SESSION SPACE RENTAL
The Weir-Jordan House and grounds are also available for photo shoots, whether you are having an event here or not.
Rental rates start at $100, plus staff fee, for a two-hour session and can be scheduled for weekdays.
The entire house and grounds would be available for your exclusive use during that time, with all the unique and beautiful spaces they have to offer.
